Take my thoughts away from me
I don't like them
Spinning
Twisted
In my head

Take my pride away from me
Laugh at me
Point
And laugh
It's all I'm good for

Take my hope away from me
Leave me to despair
And cry
In black
I don't matter

Take my confidence away from me
So I can't sing
Can't dance
Can't spin
And can't love life

Leave me faithless
And
Reduce me to nothing
And
Leave me here to cry.
I don't matter.

yes, this is a good expression of feeling outside influences and/or accepting or rejecting them. better to feel brave and self-assured enough to know they should never take precedence over what you feel in your heart.

you know how everyone says you can do whatever you like in this life? it's TRUE! sometimes we feel trapped, but really it is of our own making. if we are willing to let go of what isn't good for us, however difficult and heart-wrenching, we discover ourselves in our true states. it can only happen if we listen to ourselves and make the choice to live with the consequences, good or bad. damn, hopefully it's all good. we should be having way, way more fun.

are you going to make yourself happy? i'm trying, baby steps. i have learned great patience.
  • I can totally relate to "Faithless". Sometimes I just want to empty myself of all life's impurities, and start anew. I know lots of people use this analogy, but think of the butterfly. It once was a caterpillar; so vulnerable, so small, and so helpless. Then one day, that same scrawny caterpillar grew to be a beautiful buterfly, with wings so elaborate, yet so delicate. I wish that humans could start over, change magically overnight. All my heartache and suffering would cease to exist, never knowing I once had them.

i know this tends to sound redundant as well, but it's the only way to survive the pain of living. look around, are you warm, safe, have food, are you gratified by your work, do you help those you can?

there's a fine line between loving and resenting those who think and do for themselves successfully.

the butterfly -- yes, once trapped by gravity, to roam the earth seeking its peaceful place, driven by instinct to cocoon and wait patiently, then one day, absolutely and without doubt, emerging free to fly and do its butterfly work, touching down to show its colors and add beauty to the world, meeting other butterflies in search of a mate, but remaining free to be beautiful together.

everyone is allowed to be beautiful, celebrate it and give it back.

you have a noble wish for humans, and yourself. we must always move forward with hope.
