Crying Diamonds

What was it that I was thinking?
To fall for a guy like you….
One that made me smile…
Strung my heart out for a mile
One that made me sing
If only for a while
I can’t remember what you smell like
How your skin feels on my hands
The way you made me breakfast
That first night on the sand
You’re fading from my mind
The memories seem so vague
So why is that I’m still crying?
I miss the love I never had
So please can you remind me?
Make me understand
Why my hearts’ still so broken
And you’re still a million miles away
The diamonds on my finger
Used to warm me inside
They’re loosing their entire luster
Like my heart they want to cry
I’ve got your crying diamonds
About to turn to glass
I’ve got your crying diamonds
That I can’t quite seem to smash
Love is for the the lonely
Money for the poor
Hate is for the insecure
War is for the weak
