Swallow the Moon

I breathe in the night
Swallow the moon
The stars glisten in my eyes
Sung the songs of Jupiter’s tunes

I walk among them every night
A celestial saunter
Aimlessly wander
Mercury is where I call home
Vacation in the rings of Saturn

My sister’s hierarchy of the wasteland
Neptune, her cerulean pearl
They bow to her
And pray to her
And wish her goodnight

My brothers’ rule a different world
The world of men, mountains and demons
Wicked, fierce and cruel
Nevertheless they have the marine
So immense, beautiful and blue

My father’s in his final place
I go there when I’ve ran out of space
When I close my eyes
When I spin the sun
He tells me that I’ve just begun

Whispers from him
Is all that I hear
(Run fast)
(Run free)
His breath on my ear

Long steps
Long legs
Long heart
Long hover
Cautious when I speak to Mother
Not to break her meditation
Not to break her abbreviation
Her regret
Her wine
Her rum
Her sorrow
Her grief
She makes that numb

I breathe in the night
Swallow the moon
Then I take flight
Love is for the the lonely
Money for the poor
Hate is for the insecure
War is for the weak
