My life has seemed to settle down
I’ve learned to breathe in this little town
I’ve stretched out my arms open wide
I’ve learned to see your face your pride
I’ve can trust those who earned it
Leave behind the one who’s burned it

So this is what it’s going to be
This life I’ve made out for me
My complaints are few and rarely told
My stories of war have all turned old
My life is good as it should be
My eyes are open and plain to see

Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe
That this long I’ve lived so much to see
Last month I turned 34
Just realized that no one’s keeping score

Life is good
Life is good
Life is good
Love is for the the lonely
Money for the poor
Hate is for the insecure
War is for the weak
