Last Chance

With one more year approaching.
There is only so much time to waste.
Telling somebody how you feel,
it's always the hardest to say.
The most difficult in life is that one last chance,
the one you've been waiting for all these years.
Lost in her glory not knowing how to say it.
The only truth to be told is the truth to her heart.
So many lifetimes,
it's but one.
Here it is it feels like fame,
but only a one hit wonder,
will put you to shame.
Calling in the distance,
that significant other.
To only blow the last chance is all that crosses your mind.
Only in one second you'll be walking away alone.....




only you...
there'll be time for laughin'
there's no time to cry
soon i will be leavin'
look me in the eye
no matter what's in front of me
it's your face that i'll see

    The theme of being tongue-tied often makes for the most eloquent poetry.

    ....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......

    don't worry about that "significant other" bcz i thnk you may well be if you tell her how you feel...
    Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
    As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
    And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
    He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
    What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
    Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
    And his tears fall and burn the garden green

    i wanna bring back some of the old poems that have left this part of the message board....its been down so long i figured some should be brought back
