Life Without Love

Thought she was the one,
The one I truly desire.
But you know the only thing she said was
You are not the one I admire.
Could'nt decipher the illusions in my head.
Could only sit and think.
Getting ready to go to bed.
Wondering how she could fool me so.
Was there one time i was more than borderline?
Just once?
Running through my head,
All dark and dreary,
Blurry,
Foggy,
Damp.
The only love i have now,
Is the life....without love.
there'll be time for laughin'
there's no time to cry
soon i will be leavin'
look me in the eye
no matter what's in front of me
it's your face that i'll see

    I remember feeling exactly the same way one night in April when I was seventeen.
