heyhey! i just dropped a line onto your "Lesson" thread.... so coincidental,... i was looking earlier at my aunt's atlas,... being a PA fellow myself, i've always wanted a place in the Poconos: beautiful landscape, mountainous, rivers, and lush, flowing forests; 2-3 hours from Philly; 1-2 hours from NYC; 3 hours from home--the whole circumstance up there is damn near ideal for my working-life [assuming i ever get there!!!]!
but yeah, i picked out my 'first-choice' spot this morning: Promised Land Lake. Awesome name, great location far east of that pit-hole Scranton/W.B. (sorry Scranton/W.B. residents!!!:)), and with an official campsite nearby and the Delaware S.F. just due east a bit i am set on searching--i'm only left to create the Economy needed to complete my mission.... nothing can stop me now!!!
have you any ideas on how this life ends?--i mean, where you want to settle??? are you PA-folk as well???
your piece is clearly magnificent, as you probably already knew even before the great reviews listed above/previously... this opening segment of stanza 2 is top-notch in my book:

i see you're PA bretheren... you ever been to the Poconos? anywhere east of the Monongahela? i've been to Pburgh twice, very lovely, antique city... which i mean in the nicest of compliments--and yes i do realize its been modernizing for some time, but appropriately as far as i could tell, keeping in-tact a great deal of its heritage and historical-aura. you been to Falling Water ever?--i got out there last spring just as the final snows were still on the ground but the weather bore a breezy warmth.... so serene and peaceful... i hiked the upper rim [back private driveway] for about 5 hours and sat on a rock over-looking the cliff to the river/stream below... i ended up just staring at it for over an hour.... it was a much needed rejuvention for me... Nature, Art, Society all in One there... i see this potential in the Poconos with a much more practical locale where the busy New Yorkers and the distanced Phillies might confluence into a singular pilgrimage-site from time-after-time... [yeah i want to live in an artist-statement, in case anyone has yet to realize the true extent of my insanity]...
anyway sorry now for rambling-on upon your wonderful poem/thread... keep em coming eh!--i'm off now for my previously mentioned BRUNCH!!!;););)!!!!!

yeah careerism is hard... trying to ride those market-waves and all... alot like surfing i imagine, although i have never lived near the ocean so don't have that experience literally..... i dont wanna be an advertised money-whore of an artist, so i'm being patient with that realm as cream rising above the foam and fluid of societies eventually--i know my day will arrive and i will breeze through it like a hurricane in florida.... but what is the 'norm'???--i can never really tell what is normal or not... "i only know my mind".... so yeah, that's today and tomorrow who knows,... maybe i'll fly into the Geographic Society?...!!!
but please, do be careful.... the last thing i want to see is someone so unique and special falling off of the mountain...
