tornado juice

i know about the glass of freshly squeezed tornado juice
how it tastes so much like a dusty sunday morning
in oklahoma city complete with cockroach umbrellas
laid out on stained bedspreads that fluoresce in black light
it is everything tragic and filthy in me
long since buried and burned and reborn and burned again
like so many things i know about
the glass of freshly squeezed tornado juice
sits in crystal
cess in excess
and admired because the glass shines so brightly
and prettily under full spectrum lights
do not
fall
in

    oh keep the hurricane on the right hand side of the road... the left is entirely blocked and the molasses that flows there is making driving entirely too treacherous...
