hammer on
frets seem boundless
your wailing
runs stop lights
and forgets the kids at the sitter's

deep grooves
in frets and inlay
leather fingertips
fray and play
till blood must spill

my ears
the space in gray
expands
invites you in
your soul remains
mysterious though
all your sound
is on the table
~all is full of love~
