tenacious to precious, the fourteen cows said
chewing and chewing and gluing their tails
to their asses, refastened. each donkey's breath brayed
at the grass growing superfast under their hooves
on the otherside, planetoid reindeers on roofs
triple tip toe, wake up slow on this silver day.
  • i like you poem...got anymore?
I make the shapes come much too close
    I pull my eyes out
    Hold my breath
    And wait until I shake...

Poor little Tom Lagging, as big as a pipe
on the roof of a railway man's cabin
looked out through the market stalls, haddock and tripe
to the sight of a blue breasted robin
chirping like fook on a tarpaulin roof
going iddle yay thriddle yay yay hoo
"Yay! A festivus miracle! I'll get the proof!"
cried poor Tom, scraping up bluey bird poo
  • that second poem was like...totally....woah.

this piece is utter brilliance. period. just looking at it hurts in ways i recall only a parent could when they look upon you in that I've never been so disappointed in my life kind of way... and then they pick you up and love you as only a mother or father can. This vision of bittersweet perusal; it's almost intrusive for us to read it, like looking in upon the misted camera of a dream recorded up close and intimate, with voices echoed and stereophonic... and yet there is love to fall in with here.

one of my favorite pieces ever written by any writer at this moment in time. I feel blessed to have had it shared. I hope to know this person one day.

we lay she and me and speak of new things lightly in the dark...
dad's new girlfriend who says "stop" all the time like i used to
and how he treats her, keeps her wrapped tight...
the poor thing wants to call her "mom", too sometimes
    in case she forgets
because it is so hard to get the dynamic

it'll always be a featherweight painting with
an offset hanger on a crooked hook,
    beautiful and perfect,
    just unable to be straight
because it isn't and never was

    and...
she just wants everything right and easy
and i touch her face and am honest under threat...

she says she will call my new
    someday love "chickenhead"
    because he will be funny

and i marvel at her I.Q.
    and am amazed with
    how much light slips through
    when i open the door
    quietly
    the stops removed...

    i am in desparate love
    with these gifts from God
    my belief in Divinity unshakable
    God Blessed
    "Who was that guy?"
    "Jesus Christ."
"Seriously, man, don't be an asshole, who was he really?"
    "Jesus Christ."
    "No shit? What'd he want?"
"My apple pie and a cigarette."
