New Face to New Place

The moonlight strikes the plight in his eyes
A maddening cackle accentuates his sorrow
Tears longing he could cry dry up in wells inside
Stoic exterior ceases to crumble
In the presence of loneliness
A statue of David he remains

Drawing in the poison smoke
Comfort of a warm blanket from child hood
Yet impure and deceptive

Desperately trying to enjoy the moment
The cool night breeze swept upon the moon lit grass
Calms the soul of troubles plaguing
Yet not this being
Wondering from place to face
In search of the one who will take him away
To a new place
A new time
A new space
To forget the past he so wishes was here today

And so he wonders about the world
Wandering will she be his new place
You beautiful face

    men with hurting hearts

it's so nice to hear and see
    needs music
  • All men have broken hearts from time to time. It is the real men who aren't affraid to show it without feeling "gay". I hate how this society thinks that because men show their feelings it makes them less manly. Anyway...I digress. I want to turn the attention back to the poem.
