stirring the pot of emotions and words
you love a reaction
like swirling chemicals
raising clouds of steam and sparks
if it weren't for imagined strife
the actual would further numb
and as dramatic as you get
orchestrating all of them
to do your bidding
or try to fight you off
you still come back looking
to bounce it off me
and i can give you a response
without delving to the real
objective fictional feedback
making scenarios authentic
detailed and thick with the belief
then argued to the quick
bitten down till blood is drawn
barked back insults
raw accusations
i know they're not true
i'm just your testing ground
setting off your rocketry
in a safe and constant world
that one where we alone live
and play when we will
and rest when we're tired
free spirits in the truest sense
without physical bodies
to keep us trapped
though you long for that too

didn't you always dream
of that one who would resist
taking everything as truth
but knowing the deepest core
the respect and the dignity
always intact
never fear
for you taught me well
and i'm the bravest one
the one who sees through
and won't be shaken
though stirred
