what inspires

i often toss this around, seeking to discern or blend differing ingredients to what makes true inspiration. what CMR said -- keep writing even though it's horrible -- exactly. if you've ever done a creative writing course, you'll know the kinds of things that can be a catalyst for some interesting mental gymnastics.

here's something i wrote way back then:

stair stare at me
my green aura shines
and you sea see it
in the dream state beauty
only reel real now
the wish we foretold
such grateful great, full tone
loving the cozy shiver
prayer for piece peace here
the holy simplicity
always as won one true

of course it's pathetic, but playing with words is one way to unlock thought patterns and get free mind. music does that for me too, i feel color with the moods it creates.

art is everywhere, in everything. i love it.

  • thanks for the inspiration!
there are many examples of writing on this board, (radar's book Rot is an example)
...people who like to play with words and their meanings.
words are great cause there is always a dictionary around when the mind seems locked up. i am going to buy my 11 year old a dictionary of slang for christmas. He might as well learn early how much fun language is.

i took a screenwriting class last year and one thing we did was timed writing in class. the instructors gave us really good start lines that helped alot.

    Thanks Fel
