dichotometry

down to the depths of despair
roiling around in the quest
to find the heart's core
the precious meaning
of it all
then fuck it
wasting too much time
thinking of how, why
bathed in the emotion
but suffering
so a conscious effort
to raise up
find distraction
reach out and make busy
finish work
create new projects
but always, always
drawn back to it
why do i feel?
why do i know?
that it's love, for sure
way past obsession
or simple infatuation
till i hear
some word that
matches my own voice
telling that it is
still understood
and that time will defy
the world's opinion
of what's right
of what's real
so smile inside me now
as i poke at your ribs
because we have to trust
that hearts are never wrong
and that longing
yearning and loneliness
are but stops
along the way
to our final destination
don't worry, baby
you are loved
roiling around in the quest
to find the heart's core
the precious meaning
of it all
then fuck it
wasting too much time
thinking of how, why

I sure as hell don't subscribe to that philosophy, but I still like the passage.
Is Dichotometry an intentionally made up word? If so, I sorta missed the point of it and would be interesting in hearing why. If not, did you mean Dichotomy?
Blood - Heart
monitor - computer
Felicity - love

you are not a very good prevaricator, but it seems you try.
dicotometry:
yes, that is my own made up word. it's supposed to demonstrate the way we measure how far to go on the oppositional scale. do we allow ourselves to plummet to depths without end, or do we reach a limit, then surface and soar the other way to find the highest feelings, casting off earthly ties and bonds? so, it's rather like the bi-polar experience, only it's conscious.
i'm interested in what and how the brain decides is enough of anything, one way or the other. absolutely relates to the pleasure center... the bane of my existence.
as in relationships, what makes one decide to hold on and trust instincts, no matter what, as opposed to letting go at the first sign of disharmony? it's the measuring of how much one can cope with and is willing to accept. for me, unconditional love means acceptance of it all, good or bad. however, ill treatment is another story.
do i know you?
just kidding.
10-4, good buddy. Thanks for the comeback!
BTW: I can prevaricate enough to get by. At least I've done good so far... when I really wanted to.
much respect.
