i've been waiting
at the edge of emotion
up here
for you
how clever you are
how elusive
yet i see through
your little silliness
and talking with the girly
because you can do
whatever you want
and even though
you could have
anything in the world
you chose me
you wait for me too
in your purity
like mine
and yesterday you cried
i understood the reason
because laying close
to your heart is this
poignant recognition
that you really might get
what you want
in the end
we've come too far
to let this go
and maybe the coaster
is levelling out at last
i have no doubt still
i just had to let you know
how happy i am
that you can be you
with me
at last
i want to talk with you
forever

    who is the lucky man?
It was a dream, not a nightmare. A beautiful dream I could never imagined in a thousand nods. I saw this girl next to me, she wasn't beautiful until she smiled. And I felt that smile come at me in heat waves following. Soaking through my body and out my finger tips in shafts of color. And I knew somewhere in the world, somewhere, that there was love for me.

    isn't it strange
    how sometimes we think
    that we are readysetgo
    when really
    we haven't even
put on the right shoes yet

    it's good though
    i've been shopping
    and there's lots
    of choices to make
in the end it only matters
    if they feel comfy

    the lucky man
    has withstood
    negativity and punishment
    from me, for so long
    with good strong shoulders
    he has withstood my wrath
    and waited well with
    distant patience
    and wondering hope

    i finally woke up
    and know that he trusts
    the universe will bend
    to the wishes
    of those who love
    to the prayers
    of those who change
    to the passion
    of those who believe
