Fear Fighting - A Poem

Fear Fighting

Ancient and familiar echoing…
My Heart begins to keep the rhythm of Her Voice
Beckoning me, the Joining of Time
A Trance Falls upon me like drops of Rain
And I Dive Under the Darkest Pool

Submerged, I begin to Comprehend
Maybe for the first time, the Significance
And where the Trail before me Leads
This Journey is meant for the Silent and Formidable
Those who take no Glory for themselves

I’m lacking Tools for this passage
The Booty’s price is High
She must know better than I
The condition of my readiness for this crossing
I close my Trusting eyes, fighting fear like early Death

The buried Gems are never given for free
And the Lessons are not easily learned
But the Depths become more easily traversed
And in time, Wisdom Dawns upon the Fool
Who has held the Universe in her hand all the while…

    beautiful.
I'm stepping in front of the gushing hydrant in a hurricane. I'd like to see the traction I keep.

Thank you, I did a journey this past weekend...it was about that. The most difficult things always seems to bring the greatest reward, huh? Excuse the Qabalah references...can't seem to get away from that ole' Tree of Life.

To me it's as if Rainer Marie Rilke and Robert Frost decided to have an unlikely dualist format and merge as one.

I really like this one a great deal. Please send more!

I am quite certain, by the way, that Qabalah references are actually very much at home in poetry. Naturalism notwithstanding, don't apologize for a presented piece! NEVER!

    talk soon.

Again, thank you for that...quite a comparison - I know nothing about forms, just write what comes. Thanks for hearing, it's an honor to share. The cave journey was intense - gotta tell somebody!
