Tonight i visited my nana,
Tonight i spoke to my uncle.
We listened to some music,
we also got on with some work.
i read whilst he read too...
i got hungry so i took a trip down stairs!
In the cupboard i looked for some fodder,
all i could see were boxes of tea and coffee.
I kept up my search, my eyes wide open,
then my eyes caught summat more than i was hopin'
my widened hazel eyes caught upon a food so fine
it must have been a gift from a hand devine...
what i found was what i love the most.
what i found wasn't plain toast.
what i found was a delicious
completely crunchy and not suspicious.
my hands came upon my darlin' snack,
followin' the crumb made track.
my ears tensed like a rabbits when out in the air,
i went cold and upright, so did my hair.
i carried down the packet of my love,
rippin the packet open with a pull an' shove
finally i shouted up to my uncle 'Oh my.... i've found em'
to which he replied 'found what my nepheeeeew'
I looked as happy as a daffodil in mid spring,
I looked up, with my eyes a waterfilled sting.
a thud and a thump, here he was, my uncle appeared.
'what ya found' then he saw what it was, and laffed real 'ard!
'CRACKERZZZZZ, i'll give ya CRACKERZZZZ......'
'HAHA' my uncle bellowed rolling on the floor..
i looked down with my eyes still gleaming,
i was laffing too..... 'i love em. i can't help it'
we went back upstairs, talking of music all the way,
all the while in my 7 hour stay.
we listened for a bit more,
til i heard a voice through the door...
'dinner ollie' my nana called.....
i made my way down...
and i received my meal...
to my surprise i was gifted again.
to another one of my loves
my eyes were as wide as railway tunnels
I looked up in glee, my nana oh the best is she?
indeed i believe she is the bestest in the world.
she mad me my dinner tonight,
which was lamb, mashed potato and and and and CABBAGE, my one true green love and of course those little green TREES!
#i forgot to mention i was very bored when i left my nana's so i came up with this.......#
