but it isn't someday

not now

and even if some
other sweet hand should
touch your face
in the middle of the night
and you smile
and you laugh
and you whisper the name
of some beauty you met
and that name isn't mine
but your heart beats so fast
then through my tears
and my breaking heart

and i'll be at peace
because you will be too

and maybe that beauty
will break your heart
(but i really hope not)
or maybe you'll break hers
(again, i really hope not)

but this isn't someday

I like your writings because they read well to me, they look as if they're written how I'd write them; I can relate to your poems in more ways than one at times. Not much of a critic, I'm afraid. Just wanted to say that I loved this. Really reminds me of that frozen feeling inside when thinking of an ex-lover being with someone else and the longing to be with them and hold them and make them know that you're the only one for them. Anyway. Thanks.
