distant stars

I wish I could sleep under the stars tonight...
they'd remind me
we're kinda sleeping together
under the same stars
the same sky
the same stars
the same sky
the same stars
the same big dipper
we'd be laying 'neath
the same big dipper
and i'd fall asleep
smiling

Inside these walls I know
that I'm still under
the same sky
the same stars
the same big dipper
the same orion
but it's so much clearer
when you can breathe
the crisp clean
cold air
and when you can actually
watch the stars winking
at you
as if they were
your eyes
twinkling into mine

distance can be hard
but as long as
you're under the same
sky
orion
stars
big dipper
north star
then it's all gonna be
alright
you're gonna be
just fine
just look to all those
stars

we'll each
be sitting on one
of them
in your
dreams
and mine
and we can watch
each other sleep
and twinkle on
all night

    That is wonderful. It made me smile. I honestly believe you are one of the most wonderful people I know. You always seem to be able to put some thoughts I might have into words, even though you have no idea what i'm thinking. I love it.

    I relate to this poem to the point that moves me to shed a little tear. I know what it's like to love someone so far away and want them and only them and know that they feel the same way. I know the comfort of speaking of sharing the same stars! My love and I even look at this very same site first thing in our mornings to know we're loving under the same sky:

    Hahah under the circumstances I guess anyone can temporarily become retarded. For me thats roughly 23 out of the 24 hours available in a day. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go lay out in traffic in the middle of a busy highway so I can get some sun.
