**i found this in an old notebook, and thought I'd share** :)

i stepped from the shadows
to the light of the moon,
in the shape of my window,
on my soft carpetfloor

and i tipped my head up
as i sat down crosslegged
and counted the stars
that shone down from above

and i thought that i'd love
to jump into some stardust
and sprinkle it down
on the ones that i love

and then maybe soon
i'd be able to grant them
every wish that had
every hope in their heart

    there you are!

    by starlight i'll kiss you
and promise to be your one and only
    i'll make you feel happy
and leave you to be lost in mine
and where will we go, what will we do?
    soon said i, we'll know

dead eyes, are you just like me?
cause her eyes were as vacant as the seas
dead eyes, are you just like me?
and all along, we knew we'd carry on
    just to belong

    by starlight i know you
as lovely as a wish granted true
my life has been empty, my life has been untrue
and does she really know, who i really am?
does she really know me at last
dead eyes, are you just like me?
The most remarkable thing about you standing in the doorway, is that its you, and that you're standing in the doorway.

I write down good reasons to freeze to death in my spiral ring notebook. But in the long tresses of your hair--I am a babbling brook.
