softness touching softness
pink
promising lip embraces
wet with traces of previous ones
i'll gracefully touch your beautiful face
and look so far into you

ohhhhhhh
i can see your soul,

as twinkling and mysterious as twilight
as strange and beautiful as anything
i've ever seen

makes me want to change your world forever...

let me make your heart flutter
let me make your back tingle
can i make your lips want more...
of my sugary kisses?

white silk
crossing
white silk
our skin gliding gently
our souls passing softly
into and out of each other
over and over we
melt into ecstasy
soft on soft

i can feel your soft lips
with the lingering taste of sweet
that came from the meeting
of your mouth to mine

lashes, lashes
closing our eyes
tightly embracing
tangled so tightly
twisted to softly

we fall asleep as one body;
two spirits in love

  • This is beautiful. I see lips everywhere!!! I'm curious, what is the prediction, love or the process of making love--foreplay? Sorry, don't mean to be dirty. I'm just wondering how these beautiful suggestive images you portray tie back to the title.

Don't bother responding if you think this is too over the top. I just really appreciate tasteful poetry of this subject. It's very hard to do. I breifly read a poem and a piece of prose from this one artist, who I met at an art group meeting this past weekend. The guy was actually a pretty damn good fine artist, sculptor and photographer. He occassionally dabbled in writing. Being as I am, I always read any piece of writing creative or otherwise that someone plops in front of me. The writings were both erotica pieces, and actually well written in the sense that the writing was strong. But artistically and aesthically, they were really no more than expressions by guy with a really big hard on--there was no depth.

This is different from the suggestive work by someone like Neruda, who on first impression seems as if he fathered all of Brazil, but captivates his readers with lines like " I like you to be still" and "I have already forgotten you" or the great Li Xiang Yi's descriptions of all the physical obstacles that stand between him and is forebidden lover. Your work has these characteristics. Anyway, this my long explanation to you of my angle. Have a good one.

  • Aww roberthecat your curiosity doesn't make me think you're being dirty. :) I'll be glad to answer any questions any time about any of my poems. :) So... to answer your first question, the prediction. I titled this piece "prediction" because the person I want to share all of this with is thousands and thousands of miles away. But I know that someday, when money is no object and when I get a car, I will drive to wherever he is, and this is what's going to happen. Well, eventually anyway. ;)

The rest of what you said made me smile a lot!! Just the comparisons to other great writers... and yeah. It just really made me happy to know that I succeeded with this piece. I wasn't sure if I were able to pull it off, but thanks to you and yerrey I'm more confident in it. Also, I may try writing things of this nature again.

I agree, robertthecat, that when writing a piece of such consisitency that it needs to be done with taste. I tried sooo hard to use taste as well as subtle mystery to what I was talking about. Gah! I'm just happy you guys like it so much!

Anyway, "they were really no more than expressions by guy with a really big hard on--there was no depth." that made me giggle. :p

Okay okay now that was my explanation to you. :D

oh and p.s. yes.. looots of lips in this one.

  • Cool! You know, I always present my comments rather passively just becuase you never really know how someone will take feedback. So, I'm guessing that based upon your response, the prediction references the thought of your destined union with this person? Kind of like a trancending of love and then some to this person? Well, I can dig it. Lots of kisses thats for sure. Keep writing. Peace.
