all i ever wanted was to see the love in your eyes when you
look
at
me

the way you used to laugh at all my jokes and goofy quirks
is
dead

i'll never ever be good enough and i never ever was is how you're
making
me
feel

so mama can't you see i wanna die just so you'll feel that you finally
love
me

'cause apparently that's what it'll take...

OR.. i can live and succeed and show her how fuckin' wrong she is about me.

yeah.. i like that one.

  • Was the subliminal intentionals?

    "All look at me"
    "The is dead"
    "I'll making me feel"
    "so love me"

Or how I would peice it together, if it appeared in reversed phonetics.... would be like this for it's meaning

"Everyone, look at me! I am dead! At least I feel this way. I want someone to love me, but I fear no one will."

If you did it intentionally, great work!
If it was unintentional, maybe that is something you may like to search deeper.

    I wish you the best.

girl, I know where you're coming from on this one, believe me!

It's hard to live with a yearning to have a mother in your life, no matter what your age! You want to share experiences, tell her all your sorrows and joys. Cry on her shoulder and have her pet your head, like when you were little and just hold you because nobody else will understand. Or to just call up and and touch base and have a laugh, just know that she's there.

It's funny how we remember our mothers. The one who laughed, as you say, at those jokes and goofy quirks with love in thier eyes. What the hell happend???? Why now are we these horribly inadequit good-for-nothings??? Why the need to make us feel unwanted, unneeded, unnecessary??? Well, I don't know. Plain and simple. And I figured out that this mother of mine is only human too and she obviously made some grievous mistakes in her life and she's going to have to live with those for the rest of her life! I can't change that, nor can I change the fact that the mother I want, is gone. And yes, it is terrible and it is sad and yes, many days it hurts, but you go on.

That's it, you just go on because you have your own life to live. And all in all, you just try to be a good person, mother or no mother, and well, life ain't so bad, really. :)

I liked this piece very much! An ode to those Mommas who don't know what they're missing out on! :)

    Love to you, sweetheart! :)

  • I never had a... happy... childhood. Nor have I really had... parents...
Only rule creator... mother... and rule enforcement... father...
With this in mind, you can see why I cannot relate to the peice.
However, I still liked this peice very much. Maybe in a life after this, I will understand what it is like to at one time having loving parents, and then to be shunned my them.
Sorry if you take offense to this, that is not my intention. I do enjoy reading your work.

jessie-wessie.....I met my mother when I was 21.....my adoptive mother was a 'cold, hard bitch'....and a psychiatrist to boot.....for about 17 years, all my natural mother did was criticize me and cajole me.....at times when I desperately needed help.....over the last four months, she's changed completely......and I can tell that she loves me, and is beginning to understand me......so finally, now that I'm a mother.....I have a 'real' mother.....a role that I wanted filled through my whole life.....always searching for my mother.....things worked out good in the end.....cross your fingers.....hehehehehe......:)
....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......

I love reading your poems, and I've noticed that many other people here enjoy them too.

I'm sorry you're feeling rejected by your mom right now. I think you have a lot to offer.

j*essie writes from her heart, no holding back..

and that is why we can all relate to her poetry..

thank you for sharing such strong feelings of_the_girl from janesville!!
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
