I love this part at the end: "And if you disagree with me, then you sir, are worse than Hitler."
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

What a tool. That Hitler comment should get him booted like Don Imus. Is he trying to be funny?

    heh..
But seriously, who cares what this guy says? He's like John Stewart or Stephen Colbert...his show is on at 3 am.
I thought it was pretty funny, and he has a point about writing an anti-war album this far into the war, and betting against the giants in the 4th quarter. I mean, wasnt "Living with War" an anti-war album?

Alot of you folks get so mad about this shit! WHO CARES?!

No, you are the one who is a tool. I could not disagree more with his take on the war, but for Fox News (home of the idiotic 1-2 newshour) this is not a bad attempt at comedy. He even maybe right about the timing of this album, it would have worked better 5 years ago. To PJ's and Neil's credit, they were doing this 5 years ago, but now, I can't stomach another anti-Bush rant. We get it, We agree with it, now it must stop.

Not a bad idea. But by getting the soldiers out of Iraq we can stop many deaths immediately. Not so easy with cancer and heart disease. You can't see that????
  • The writer sounds desperate - desperately trying to denigrate the album in case it influences people against the war. Pathetic!

It is not an anti-war album. It is a soundtrack for a documentary about a soldier who lost his ability to walk or do other functions from the waist down because he got shot his first week in Iraq after signing up to fight in Afghanistan. It just bothers me that the writer acts like the bands got together to make this album, when actually it was the injured soldier who hand picked the songs, and most of them are old songs, except for No More by Ed. At the same time, the documentary has been a couple years in the making, and premiered months ago, so I just do not agree with painting it as an anti-war album, and not explaining what it is really about.

  • the writer also doesn't seem to grasp the concept that some people are simply against war. whether it's going well, whether it's going poorly is not the key issue to some, the key issue is that to them, war is simply wrong. personally i tend to agree.
"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."
  • But I thought Fox News was "fair and balanced." I can't believe they would not tell the WHOLE story.

You're comparing people being killed in an illegal war/occupation to people who are killed by cancer? Jesus...you cannot be serious.

The commentary is from a show called "Red Eye." It's funny in a sophomoric way, and the commentary on the soundtrack is what they do on the show - they parody their own network.

Many times on the show when someone says something against the administration, the host will chime in with "You can't say that here. This is Fox News!" And he does so with sarcasm.

So lighten up. The article isn't something to be taken seriously.

    Get over it

If you dont mind informing me, what exactly am I supposed to get over? I didn't give any personal feelings or information in my post, nor did I talk about anyone else's feelings. I just explained that the writer of that article left some important information out and it was misleading. So I guess I do not understand at all what I or anyone else am supposed to get over? Do tell. Thanks.
