two words
slipped quickly past my lips
and touched yours
and your expression was one of
surprise, and maybe
delight

startled by my own admission
i became flustered
and laughed
and tried to wriggle away
but you were having none of it-
you held me in that space
we made
and smiled so slightly
watching my mouth
and came in for another kiss

i can say it now
not by accident,
without irony,
and welcoming the butterflies

love you

Nice poem. I like the slipping in the first stanza.
