I stand on a beach where the gentle warm waves roll over my feet
Gliding the tiny grains of the ageless sands between my toes as the tide rolls in.
Darkness surrounds me but in front of me, there’s light.
The man in the moon shines his ambient light across the water,
Revealing a path from the ends of the earth shimmering to my feet.
There’s a choir of angels singing through the palm trees
That encompass the darkness around me

I remain still..
Calm..
As I take in the moment.
Breath by breath…

The sweet smell of the gentle sea breeze is warm to the touch
As it caresses my body and my old tethered skin,
Sending shivers down my spine forming goose bumps upon my outer edge,
Blowing through my hair I feel part of everywhere.

I look up to the millions of shiny glimmers of hope
Which encircle the atmosphere.
What it is to truly feel the world and its majestical ways.
It’s been so long since I have felt such pureness,
In my heart, my body, and my soul

I slowly close my eyes
Allowing the pureness of the earth and universe to encompass me
Support me, to control my thoughts,
As I slip into a kaleidoscope of my life.
My journey…

To where I was a young man,
Sitting on a beach much like the one which encompasses me now.
Where I was surrounded by the beauty of the stars and the ocean
By the beauty sitting next to me.
Indulging in the deep conversations of life.
We sit and ponder, watching the sky
As a fleeting burst of light crosses our eyes
We make a wish as her sensuous lips meet with mine
A feeling of warm envelopes my body
As her eyes glisten with a heavenly aurora

Quickly I am shuttered to a time not so far from the heavenly aurora
We are dancing in the star lit night
To the music which brought us so close together
We dance and kiss on the mountains of rocks
Which the oceans of time have shaped out of giant ancient boulders
While the waves crash below us

The images shift through me
Like the waves breaking over my knees
I feel a warm sensation running from my eyes
Meeting the sweet breeze they fall off my cheeks

The images of the sunsets shared
Where the sun was so soft with its touch
But angered by the ending day, it released its fury,
Of vibrant colors against the clouds, the sky and the glistening ocean
To spark such beauty shared in our eyes
To warm our hearts and extend our souls

As the images shift through me
The sun rises, the late night talks
The pureness of her voice
Her soft tender skin
Her silky hair
The warm divine texture of her lips
The heavenly aurora of her eyes
When she looks at me after our lips met
The safeness I felt in her company
I feel my hands cramp into little fists
As waves move over my waist
Slowly tugging at me as they retreat

Then…
The visions…
Of when we went our separate ways
Her, following her heart and final paths to womanhood
While I continued on my journey
To a place…
Leaving my friends and family behind
Searching for a fortune I’d never find
I lose the last of my childhood innocence
Getting caught in the bustle of every day life
The angry streets, the city lights
Endless days working for something…
But what?

The waves finally reach over me
Like arms of a thousand soldiers pulling me
I collapse
The waves quickly recede
As the outgoing tide pulls me
I don’t fight
I look to the sky
The little man in the moon
The twinkling stars
And I smile
As I am carried off through the path of the moon
To ends of the earth
I think…
I have lived 61 years 8 months 26 days 11 hours and 12 minutes
For the days when I was young
When I still had some child hood innocence
And a great appreciation of nature in its purest form
I found someone who I could truly connect with
And share all those beautiful moments
And that’s what life is
Connecting, sharing
Happiness is best shared
My journey was my destination
