What fools are books
Through ages launching hope,
Discord, only to be lain aside
And forgotten, de-read,
With the closings of eyes,
The long black cars.

    the Irish in me is a devil
    it wants me to raise the hammer to hit the bevel
    but I want everything to be level
    and I don't know what knowledge is

    there's only God and air between you and gravity
    ....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......

    fins, I don't know much about you biographically, but I doubt you were old enough to write this in 1934...what/who is it?

    Samuel Beckett, "Gnome"... it says so in the title to the post. ;)
