Mankind is great, nothing to be embarrassed about there.RoleModelsinBlood31 said:Wow. Bushleaguer and mankind are both tracks the band is embarrassed about.

I can't even put Avocado in the same catagory as Vitalogy. Avocado does not have the quality of songs and most of the songs on it are easily forgettable. Comatose, Comeback, and Inside Job are great and that's about it. Just my opinion though.T-Bone 82 said:
I agree with this statement. I admit to not knowing the first thing about producing a record and why some sound better than others, but I feel like something is off with the way Avocado sounds compared to any Brendan Obrien-produced PJ records. I feel like he could have gotten their best sound out of this record and a comparison to Vitalogy makes sense in how the songs are stylistically.harmless_little_f*** said:I wish the production quality of Avocado had been more akin to Vitalogy.. It has some great Vitalogy-style songs, but was produced too cleanly.

Sleeping by myself on LB. I just don't get it. I've read interviews with the band and the guys have stated that most of the time they need to fight to have their songs included on an album but some great songs always miss out because they simply run out of room. I'm sure there's some amazing LB tracks that got binned for that exact reason, but we've got a recycled Ed solo song that made it, crazy.0

I agree so much with this! I really like LB, some great songs on it! But I skip this one every time, and I liked it on the Uke Album. It's a good Ed solo song, very heart felt. I think it looses that feeling on LB.willc431994 said:Sleeping by myself on LB. I just don't get it. I like the LB version, but it's very much out of place on the album. It's inclusion makes 0 sense to me. It would have been a great b-side.MMPooch said:

That said...I don't skip it.Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"

Aw man, really?! Glorified G is amazing! Mike's outtro solo is fucking amazeballs - Ed's classic growl and howl, crisp drumming? Hold On really could have been on Ten - a great song, but mid-tempo. I can see why it didn't fit Vs's vibe. The Waiting Trophy Man said:
Yeah, not sure why they didn't swap Glorified g for Hold On? It'd be perfect in between Daughter and Dissident.florence151 said:
WOW, couldn't agree more. It is so good.Drop The Leash 10 said:HoldOn not being on Vs.
It would have been a great addition.www.cluthelee.com0 -
Hold On does not fit on Ten or VS, sorry. It's a pretty good tune and all, but imagine the constant references to Wilson Phillips from all of the haters. Ugh.
I do agree that HTI could have been great on VS, but then again it's very similar in vibe to Indifference..very much like how Breath was left off of Ten because it was so similar to Alive.Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"

Still not finding these "beeps" in given to fly...Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...0

Yes coming out if the bridge. I play drums to PJ every Wednesday on my day off and the beep in Faithfull and GTF always makes me look around lol. Very prominent through my headphonesBinFrog said:
There's one beep-ish sound in Faithful, I know that for sure...right before the last chorus I believe.Gmoney said:Still not finding these "beeps" in given to fly...

I like the PJ version quite a bit more than the solo version, but yeah, it just doesn't fit on LB. They should have made it a B-Side or something.MMPooch said:

This to me was a true "error" - and it probably isn't even the band's mistake. Think about it: Why would they leave off Leatherman? It's not as if they don't like the song as they seem to play it at least once on every tour? The record company probably hired some intern who had no idea who the band was and got songs that start with the letter "L" mixed up.Beav" said:I've never understood how Leatherman was left off Lost Dogs, but Last Kiss made it - even after it was on Rearviewmirror. How can it be a greatest hit AND a Lost Dog? Leatherman was perfect for Lost Dogs.0 -

As stated in an earlier post, the omission of Leatherman from Lost Dogs is indeed a legitimate "error" - and it probably isn't even the band's mistake! Think about it: Why would they leave if off? It's not as if they don't like the song as they seem to play it at least once on every tour? The record company probably hired some intern who had no idea who the band was and got songs that start with the letter "L" mixed up - hence the inclusion of Last Kiss.
