Do people have to talk about kisses
As though they were Wall Street stocks
And what went up
And what went down
And where it all really began?

Do we have to talk about kisses
As though they were some metronomical science
Ticking by
Clicking past
Sipping, licking, dipping through?

Do we have to talk about kisses
Dear girl
As part of some grand design
Some elegant planned-out beautiful plan
Instead of what they were:
Melodramatic moments stolen on a twin bed
While I glanced over you to see the television.

Great ending! grooveamatic, I was anticipating some deep idea of the simple beauty of a kiss. But, the ending is perfect. Sometimes a kiss is that "Melodramatic moments stolen on a twin bed". I love the honesty and truefulness.

  • stolen was the key word for me there.
