true darkness

sweet swelling mysteries
an icy wind blows all thoughts away
like an exhaled breath
warm moist and alive
until it disappears before my eyes

and what if I were walking
alone into the deep dark blue
this night accomplishing no terror
except to tease my curiousity?

the urge to know
what lies beyond my sight
pathways, landscapes
beauty shy in the shadows

how much of this adventure
will I never know?
maybe eyes were never meant to see
everything that's here

so I walk away
into the deep dark blue
my mind catching fire with the desire to know
'til the next icy wind
scatters all thoughts away

my apologies for not taking the time
to count syllables and rhyme
some ideas just like to run down to the park
jump on the swings and play for a while

oops, pardon me for logging off before recieving replies -- but, thanks.
I'll have to find time to post more often, and maybe put my rusty pen
    to work!
