He reminds me
Of a traffic sign
Providing no clue
Of its content
He reminds me
Of a little child
Desperately trying
To cover up the fact
It can’t read
He reminds me
Of a fluffy dog
Gazing wide-eyed
Eager but helpless
In the desire
To please
He reminds me
Of a little part of me
So insignificant and
Tucked away long ago
Not to surface ever after
Except veiled in contempt
For his lack of
He reminds me
