...'The 150 Mile Long Wall Between My Daughter And I'".

I'll bet you wonder just where I've been hiding
But I've always been standing right here
And I wonder why I have stopped trying
To let go of all these fears
And why whenever you call for me I don't seem to hear

Last night I dreamed that you were with me
You said to me, "I miss my mommy"
After two days apart, you were so lonely
So I said, "Imagine me over the other 363"

But you didn't understand
You just let go of my hand
And left me there, a sad, pathetic man

You've got the power to make me feel such shame
All you have to do is call me by my first name
It makes me realize we're both the same
Looking for a father that we can proudly claim

And I'll never understand
Why I'm as frightened as I am
It's my own fault I'm nothing to you but just another man

(Distance makes the heart break faster.)

  • wow, that's touching - and, now, go do something about it!
    I'll dig a tunnel
