I was 13 when the Berlin wall came down
I’ve never heard hammers make a more beautiful sound
Of unity and cause combined with hope
And we can feel that too, on a smaller scope

When I look at how we’ve grown, it breaks my heart
Because it seems as though we’ve only grown apart
I’ll bring the hammers if you bring the cart
We can wheel away this rubble and make a new start
