outside this checkered box, is another painted red
its the same all around, ones alive one is is dead
the king's drinking wiskey, too drunk to care
that the queen has been stolen, and robed of her hair
the knight is crying, down on his kneese
her blood drapes his eyes, and blinds all he sees

The poeple moved back, just pawns in this game
taking no glory, as the king steals the fame
the bishop is sceaming, he's got words share
he'll save all there souls, and return them to air

On the otherside of mayham, rides a solder on the run
he's got one more chance to turn around, and finish what he's done
he moves steady in a pannic, as the sounds of iron fade
a trator to the cause, and the friendships he had made

The king screams outside the castle, and swares he saw it move
he has another drink, and throws up all his food
another pawn given, he see's smiles all around
"three cheers for entertainment!, lets go another round"
