this is an actual forward from family in Martinsville, Indiana (which has a nice "hometown" fall foliage parade.)

Thought this was sweet. Also seemed appropriate.

My Tree is Sick

At 8:00 the little boy went inside to sleep.
He turns off the light,
And looks out his window at his big oak tree.
In the morning all the leaves had fallen,
And the boy thought his tree was sick.
So he ran inside to get his glue,
To try and make the leaves stick.
He tried gum, tape, and glue,
None worked, so he gave the tree his sweater.
When winter ended and spring had begun,
The boy knew his tree was feeling better.
