    Higher than a airplane
    It was a dream, not a nightmare. A beautiful dream I could never imagined in a thousand nods. I saw this girl next to me, she wasn't beautiful until she smiled. And I felt that smile come at me in heat waves following. Soaking through my body and out my finger tips in shafts of color. And I knew somewhere in the world, somewhere, that there was love for me.

  • For some reason, this reminds me of Lullabye by Ben Folds Five.

    It's not really related at all, except for the dream part... and the meeting of improbible people.

    ~~~
    goodnight, goodnight,
    sweet baby
    the world has more for you
    than it seems
    goodnight, goodnight
    let the moonlight take the lid
    off your dreams
    we took a small flight
    in the middle of the night
    from one tiny place
    to another
    and my parents they remain
    at the shack with Lorraine
    and my aunt and my grandpa
    and brother
    we walked past the tarmac
    and boarded the craft
    the rain had me chilled to the bones
    just the three of us
    took flight that night
    Uncle Richard, me,
    and James Earl Jones
    and the pilot
    he gave me a blanket
    and the tall dark man
    sang to me in deep rich tones
    goodnight, goodnight,
    sweet baby
    the world has more for you
    than it seems
    goodnight, goodnight
    let the moonlight take the lid
    off your dreams
  • I have read it twice, and have a deep appreciation for it. It is lucidity that you seek. (Rent the movie "Waking Life".) Thank you for your words.................
  • i drift to sleep
    all too aware
    whats not there
    to tuck me in at night
    alone and naked
    to face the monsters
    of my dreams
    awaken to find
    the remains of the catcher
    dangling in taters
    from the nail
    i placed it's keeping
    unable to save me
    from the insanity
    my third eye
    plays witness too
    on a nightly basis
    choking on enamel
    my first thought
    is my jaw hurts
    i loved waking life.
    i also love the idea of being able to clearly express how i feel while not feeling vulnerable and naked while i do it. where these words come from, only god can tell...hidden from view, in some well of my own walls or something like that.
    you are welcome
  • it's early morning now
    but still dark from yesterday
    i want to go to sleep
    in a nest of hay
    so i can learn to know how
    to find you
    even disappoint myself in sleep
    won't find you by being a sheep
  • I come to you while you are asleep.
    I can see the dreamcatcher on your walls,
    but i also have with me, sterio instructions,
    for your soul. Nightmares from hypnotic lullabyes.
    Hello science, I am God.
    Hello god, i am metaphysics.
    We the collect, tell ghost stories, at night,
    by the bonfires, with your vanity.
    (purple... monkey... dishwater...)
    Do you want to know the truth.
    Is it in the color of a pill?
    I am not god, and i am not science.
    I am not you.
    I cannot dial down the middle...
    , but I have a dreamcatcher.
    , and i dreamt i was on 90210 last night.
    (god help me.)
  • since you were born near christmas i bet your mom was singing this song.
    you may or may not think barbara streisand's legs are like butter, but when i was little i had her christmas album and i played it all the time and this song was on it and it seemed so appropriate for this thead and its still a song that moves me...
    The Best Gift
    The best gift
    That I ever got
    Didn't really weigh a lot
    It didn't have a ribbon 'round
    And sometimes made a terrible sound
    The best of all it seems to me
    It wasn't neath the Christmas tree
    And yet, I guess I'd have to say
    That it made all the other presents twice as gay
    The best gift that I've ever known
    I'd always wanted most to own
    Yet in my dreams of sugar and spice
    I never thought it could be so nice
    The best gift that Ill ever get
    Was sometimes dry and sometimes wet
    Was usually pink but oftentimes red
    As it lay so innocently in its bed
    The best gift of the year to me
    The one I hold most dear to me
    A gift that simply drove me wild
    Was a tiny new born child...
    your mothers gift was a gift to us all.
    I can taste, and I can feel,
    but still I do not believe.
    What a long strange trip,
    it has been.
    No signs, but the lines lead us all back.
    Can you hear it beating?
    I think I know what the last question is.
    The question whos answer does'nt ask
    yet another question.
    The answer? It is not even a question.
    What happens after death?
    Do we equate wings with freedom,
  • to quote Setaside2
    "I say talk.
    That truth
    you seek,
    I seek,
    it's got to be on the table,
    the honesty begs it of all of us.
    Stop whispering your secrets
    and
    someone may
    actually shout a joyous return."
    and if they don't answer, no despair, because it is the shouting in my heart, ill find ya there.
    I Think I Love You
    I'm sleeping
    And right in the middle of a good dream
    Like all at once I wake up
    From something that keeps knocking at my brain
    Before I go insane
    I hold my pillow to my head
    And spring up in my bed
    Screaming out the words I dread:
    "I think I love you!"
    This morning, I woke up with this feeling
    I didn't know how to deal with
    And so I just decided to myself
    I'd hide it to myself
    And never talk about it
    And didn't I go and shout it
    When you walked into my room.
    I think I love you
    So what am I so afraid of?
    I'm afraid that I'm not sure of
    A love there is no cure for
    I think I love you
    Isn't that what life is made of?
    Though it worries me to say
    I've never felt this way
    Believe me
    You really don't have to worry
    I only want to make you happy
    And if you say,
    hey, go away, I will
    But I think better still
    I ought to stay around and love you
    Do you think I have a case?
    Let me ask you to your face:
    Do you think you love me?
    I think I love you!
  • My shopping bag of words is stuck cause it's really your day and I don't know what to say so I will just keep singing to you since I can't come up with something special enough of my own.
