this is a poem present
this is an offering of words
this is a gift that keeps on giving
doesnt matter if it's heard
this is for someone whose got everything
this is like my Gita a vous
Always the strangest dreams
Im sleeping and Im looking for you......
... and i dreamed i was a gemini and i had just one big eye to cry but
then a sigh
suddenly it was so bright
Edward H. White

while talking to Arthur M. Young
for what seemed like two
revolutionsolutions
i could not begin
and try to
stand

because all that came out of their mouths was
light
BRIGHT
Happy Early Day You Were Born
Merry Remember Where Your Heart is Sworn
and bells and all you can here
Happy New Year

It's not really related at all, except for the dream part... and the meeting of improbible people.
~~~
goodnight, goodnight,
sweet baby
the world has more for you
than it seems
goodnight, goodnight
let the moonlight take the lid
off your dreams
we took a small flight
in the middle of the night
from one tiny place
to another
and my parents they remain
at the shack with Lorraine
and my aunt and my grandpa
and brother
we walked past the tarmac
and boarded the craft
the rain had me chilled to the bones
just the three of us
took flight that night
Uncle Richard, me,
and James Earl Jones
and the pilot
he gave me a blanket
and the tall dark man
sang to me in deep rich tones
goodnight, goodnight,
sweet baby
the world has more for you
than it seems
goodnight, goodnight
let the moonlight take the lid
off your dreams
is there a conection to the message to Ed?
Jim Carrol
i eDited the message so you could understand Sound.
see the bottom
all too aware
whats not there
to tuck me in at night
alone and naked
to face the monsters
of my dreams
awaken to find
the remains of the catcher
dangling in taters
from the nail
i placed it's keeping
unable to save me
from the insanity
my third eye
plays witness too
on a nightly basis
choking on enamel
my first thought
is my jaw hurts
i loved waking life.
i also love the idea of being able to clearly express how i feel while not feeling vulnerable and naked while i do it. where these words come from, only god can tell...hidden from view, in some well of my own walls or something like that.
you are welcome
as a baby jesus gift
i will bring you a new dream catcher big enough to stop your average sized monster and larger
no batteries needed.
Jim Carrol
but still dark from yesterday
i want to go to sleep
in a nest of hay
so i can learn to know how
to find you
even disappoint myself in sleep
won't find you by being a sheep
I can see the dreamcatcher on your walls,
but i also have with me, sterio instructions,
for your soul. Nightmares from hypnotic lullabyes.
Hello science, I am God.
Hello god, i am metaphysics.
We the collect, tell ghost stories, at night,
by the bonfires, with your vanity.
(purple... monkey... dishwater...)
Do you want to know the truth.
Is it in the color of a pill?
I am not god, and i am not science.
I am not you.
I cannot dial down the middle...
, but I have a dreamcatcher.
, and i dreamt i was on 90210 last night.
(god help me.)
you may or may not think barbara streisand's legs are like butter, but when i was little i had her christmas album and i played it all the time and this song was on it and it seemed so appropriate for this thead and its still a song that moves me...
The Best Gift
The best gift
That I ever got
Didn't really weigh a lot
It didn't have a ribbon 'round
And sometimes made a terrible sound
The best of all it seems to me
It wasn't neath the Christmas tree
And yet, I guess I'd have to say
That it made all the other presents twice as gay
The best gift that I've ever known
I'd always wanted most to own
Yet in my dreams of sugar and spice
I never thought it could be so nice
The best gift that Ill ever get
Was sometimes dry and sometimes wet
Was usually pink but oftentimes red
As it lay so innocently in its bed
The best gift of the year to me
The one I hold most dear to me
A gift that simply drove me wild
Was a tiny new born child...
your mothers gift was a gift to us all.
to my core my dear
to my core.
Jim Carrol
you are the best friend I never had.
i do this
this thing i do with the return button
not to be dramatic
but to cover up for the loss of words
ssshhh.
thats bullshit
thats what im hopin you are thinkin
wait........................................................................................................................ not the bull shit part...............
in fact its just empty space to distract you from the sound of sucking.
i do apologize sir.
you are never boring my friend.
I can taste, and I can feel,
but still I do not believe.
What a long strange trip,
it has been.
(Even without proof.)
What is real?
Look at the road map on your palms.
No signs, but the lines lead us all back.
Can you hear it beating?
Mathematics, a perfect science,
based on imperfection.
Remainders...trailing off into infinity.)
5fingers=5answers
with endless questions?
Once I thought the last thought of mine,
before death would be:
"There must be a God?"
,and now it still might be, but
I think I know what the last question is.
The question whos answer does'nt ask
yet another question.
The answer? It is not even a question.
What happens after death?
..... just like me, they long to be close to you."
"Why do stars fall down from the sky everytime you walk by?
.....just like me, they long to be close to you."
on birds, and people....
Do we equate wings with freedom,
or are we just trying to fill our gullet?
yes and the speed to which your flow of getting my flow
washes over me so fast
i have to catch my breath before i say that
we are
given to fly.
"I say talk.
That truth
you seek,
I seek,
it's got to be on the table,
the honesty begs it of all of us.
Stop whispering your secrets
and
someone may
actually shout a joyous return."
and if they don't answer, no despair, because it is the shouting in my heart, ill find ya there.
I Think I Love You
I'm sleeping
And right in the middle of a good dream
Like all at once I wake up
From something that keeps knocking at my brain
Before I go insane
I hold my pillow to my head
And spring up in my bed
Screaming out the words I dread:
"I think I love you!"
This morning, I woke up with this feeling
I didn't know how to deal with
And so I just decided to myself
I'd hide it to myself
And never talk about it
And didn't I go and shout it
When you walked into my room.
I think I love you
So what am I so afraid of?
I'm afraid that I'm not sure of
A love there is no cure for
I think I love you
Isn't that what life is made of?
Though it worries me to say
I've never felt this way
Believe me
You really don't have to worry
I only want to make you happy
And if you say,
hey, go away, I will
But I think better still
I ought to stay around and love you
Do you think I have a case?
Let me ask you to your face:
Do you think you love me?
I think I love you!
