leavin on a jet plane

oh joy of joy
tomorrow i will fly through the sky
to see
in front of me
in the corn
my child
whose freckled face makes me so glad he was born.

but there is a dark side
it is called dysfunction
yes my hometown
is a giant Gap, Starbucks and rows and rows of parking spaces and overpriced housing inserted inside a indiana cornfield and it all
looks like a

comsumerizing
midwesterizing
never downsizing
suburban crop circle

































but i can read poetry to my boy
and make fun of the people i grew up with.
nothing better.

    I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU BROUGHT UP CDS! i spent 2 hours last night carefully picking about 30 cds to keep me happy and inspired for three weeks and guess what..?

    I left them under my seat on the flight from seattle and didn't realize it until i was just about to board my connection on a crop duster out of chicago.

    It may seem stupid and unbelieveably attached to material items, but i swear when i realized, i started getting tears in my eyes. then this extremely sexy and almost too beat to be beatiful with his warm turtleneck sweater was sitting next to me and i wanted to cry on this beatiful strangers should and he said he was sorry and i thought i might feel better if you were going to Indy and we were sharing an arm rest, but he was going to Desmoine. so he got on another plane and i got on another plane and my cds were on another and i still wanted to die i started kitchen

    and then i realized there was a silver lining, i realized my holy of holys was saved...
    for some reason, i had put allmost all of my pearl jam cds in a plastic bag in my backpack so they have been saved.
    riot act is gone tho. i am sorry i could not save you

    the beat generation, 3 cd set, GONE!

    now a goner.




























    makes me sad. but then there are starving people on earth and i have my health and all my other miracles but like i said. i seem to always add emotion to things that don't have feelings...like for example.

    a trash can might be sad, because no one has emptied it.





    a straw thrown out the window cries a polluted cry as it rolls around a parking lot













    or like all my cds in their case, crying out to me as i left the plane.....WAIT! We are here! Don't leave us!!

    we are music and you love and need us and we need you.

    the cd player didn't answer back. it didn't know. it was already full with sonic youth.

    but someone will find your cds that has never heard anything good in their life and you will be the reason that they start to love music and start to find somethign different out there in teh world...you set someone free...it was fate you were supposed to leave your cds so others can find and love them and so you can start over with something new or something old or something else

    normaly I am againt down loading but in your case I will make an exeption. just download all the albums you lost and burn them. If you cant....I'll find a way. :)

    higher than an airplane
    It was a dream, not a nightmare. A beautiful dream I could never imagined in a thousand nods. I saw this girl next to me, she wasn't beautiful until she smiled.
