there's a hole, a space, a gap in the timeline
what comes before, and what's aftermath
and the middle --
what's in the middle might be better left alone

desire and shun, or shun and despair
tough decisions will touch heavy on feelings
pricey information -
could be it's withheld to save all some grief

so decisions are made, and the gap remains
still minds are surprised when they jump there (they're sent tumbling)
cursing thoughts, recursing thoughts
again and again on the verge of a breakthrough
wind howls through our new haircuts
the water rushes 'round
heaven knows there's not one thing left to say

    Nope, and it's probably for the best. I'm curious as to what it particularly conjures up in your mind, though. I had something specific in my own mind, of course. I'll share if you do ;)
