i wanted to share this, hope you enjoy it..

i searched the earth for you
i found no one to help me
now you reach your hand to my face
to wipe away my river of tears

i want to be sensitive
i will show how i feel
i wont hide from you
how much you mean to me

for years, so alone
they trampled my soul like i was trash
hated by every person in town
my pain was so strong

i took the pills to my mouth
they went into my body
the next morning i threw them up
not too long after you were calling

i want to be sensitive
i will show how i feel
i wont hide from you
how much you mean to me

self centered, blind, and ignorant
wise in my own eyes
your sacrifice now led me to learn
to live for you and others

you sacrifice for me,
now i sacrifice for you
the greatest love i can show you
is my action, (real love)

every day it grows stronger
im moved to tears when the song plays
"Jesus you are, you are
everything im not
and everything that i want to be"

i just want you to know,
how very much you mean to me
and you will never lose
first place in my heart,
no matter who hates me
or thinks im stupid or weak...

you alone deserve honor
for what you have done in my life

(i know it may not be interesting or great to any of yall, but i wanted to share it..) :)

As Nick Drake once said about poetry,

"If words were lines in a conversation,
    the situation would be fine."

You've taken lines in a conversation and turned them into poetry.

    Thank you.
  • i dont understand what youre saying...if you care to explain...

im honestly trying to improve on my writing...i am going to read a whole book of shakespeare, then maya angelou, then all the classics..

My Dad, who's seventy seven and the wisest man I know, bar none, says that Shakespeare's gift is just the art of talking backwards, and he's saying that to me, a fella who has read the whole Shakespearean canon, including some apocrypha. I asked Dad what he reckons happens in Hamlet. He said, "He dies". That to me is the perfect response. That IS the only thing that "happens" in "Hamlet", however one tries to John Dover Wilson- it up. (John Dover Wilson's no longer with us. What happens in his book "What Happens In Hamlet"? A lot of Tory bollocks, I say.)

Your language has the passion a lot of people applaud. Wordsworth called poetry "the spontaneous overflow ofpowerful feelings", no more, no less.
So, in Wordsworth's view, you fit the bill.
  • well thanks. :) i guess ill check out some wordsworth..sounds interesting. :)

you mean, spontaneous stuff, not carefully written stuff?

    The wind is blowing cold
Have we lost our way tonight?
Have we lost our hope to sorrow?

    Feels like were all alone
    Running further from what’s right
And there are no more heroes to follow

    So what are we becoming?
    Where did we go wrong?
  • thanks surprise. :)
  • don't mention but now you have to listen to the file posted in my profile! LMAO j/k
