i asked you how i could
attract a man to myself

you said

"well, your hair looks like a grandma's hairdo,
you dont look feminine,
you look grungy & out of the 90's..
that's old,
you need to wear figure-forming jeans,
and get a haircut"

don't get me wrong, my feelings aren't hurt,
but i decided now
im gonna be me.
i dont need to impress anyone,
i dont want to pay 40 dollars
for some prim-n-proper haircut,
i like it the way it is.

if im going to find true love,
he will like me the way i am.

i think i look cute anyway.

    r u sure?
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

    Okay
I understand, but I don't want to be your friend
    I don't need another friend
    I've got too many friends
    If I was Eddie Vedder,
would you like me any better?
    That's it, I quit
    I don't give a shit

just listen to local h and tell yourself that
The most remarkable thing about you standing in the doorway, is that its you, and that you're standing in the doorway.

I write down good reasons to freeze to death in my spiral ring notebook. But in the long tresses of your hair--I am a babbling brook.
