Sleep
I cannot sleep
I close my eyes
and think of rain
rain washing away
my sorrow
rain dripping off the rooftops
and off the end of your nose
remember that?
the beach
the rain
the laughter
falling to the wet sand
passionate kisses
under the steel gray skies
and the rain
washing away our fear
sleep
I cannot sleep
