the darkness sets in,
another lonley night,
have another drink,
it'll be alright.

this life is nothing like i thought it would be,
cruel and ugly for failures like me,
will time set things straight,
i guess i can only wait.

i stand in the sand and stare at the sea,
it's time to go a voice calls me,
i hesitate and now it's to late.

i had my chance to leave this place,
but the demons kept me her for another day,
alone i sit in my darkest hour,
crying the words i dont want to play.

the end
well i woke up thismornen and i got myself a beer,
the futures uncertain and the end is always near.

it feels dam good to be sad sometimes. journaling and writing poetry helps us through these moments.

i feel good to read other's saddnesses because i have so many of my own and feel proud to own them now.

feel proud in what you create....nice poem.

here is something from Rumi you might enjoy-

"in that space between dreaming and wakefullness, that is the place where i will always love you.
