BEER

I don't know how many bottles of beer
I have consumed while waiting for things
to get better
I dont know how much wine and whisky
and beer
mostly beer
I have consumed after
splits with women-
waiting for the phone to ring
waiting for the sound of footsteps,
and the phone to ring
waiting for the sounds of footsteps,
and the phone never rings
until much later
and the footsteps never arrive
until much later
when my stomach is coming up
out of my mouth
they arrive as fresh as spring flowers:
"what the hell have you done to yourself?
it will be 3 days before you can fuck me!"

the female is durable
she lives seven and one half years longer
than the male, and she drinks very little beer
because she knows its bad for the figure.

while we are going mad
they are out
dancing and laughing
with horney cowboys.

well, there's beer
sacks and sacks of empty beer bottles
and when you pick one up
the bottle fall through the wet bottom
of the paper sack
rolling
clanking
spilling gray wet ash
and stale beer,
or the sacks fall over at 4 a.m.
in the morning
making the only sound in your life.

beer
rivers and seas of beer
the radio singing love songs
as the phone remains silent
and the walls stand
straight up and down
and beer is all there is.

..my favourite writer..ever..
A whisper through a megaphone

    I love Buk too!!!

Just love how he keeps it simple. :)

I love the poem about the beautiful not making it and dying young, leaving the ugly to their ugly lives...

but I love lots of his stuff!

one of my favorites too. his stuff is really raw and gritty. some people say he is crass and obnoxious which in some instances isn't far from the truth but he's got this way of intermingling the most gorgeous moments amongst all of the ugly bits with neither being more important than the other. the way he writes is just like life with all the excrutiating beauty often juxtaposed with the grotesque. each quality has a way of bleeding into the other when the light is just right.
  • he is just himself and that is what i really like..i mean as far as i'm concerned
because obviously i haven't met him.
i have discussed with some women about him and they seem to hate him
because they think he hates women..not true.
even if he speaks in a very violent way about relations with women he
shows how much he needs them and loves them.he is romantic in the very
deeper meaning of "romance" and the common one..
I'll rise and fall let me take credit for both jump of a cliff don't need your help so back of...
