The problem with listening to Chris Cornell's Euphoria Morning...

Is that I end up writing soppy stuff like this. It's about a girl I met on the last day of Glastonbury festival. We stayed up all night chatting amongst a sea of candles and incredibly messed up people....and watched the sunset. It was damn cool.

We'll have our way under purple skies
Releasing all fears like fireflies
Swim through our eyes
And bathe in our souls
Sail the waves that only we know
Cradling our dreams in the undertow

So light a candle inside my mind
Soothe the pain that swirls deep inside
And then we'll start climbing our trees of doubt
Just to break off all their branches
Gaze upon this wide open field of euphoria
Neglecting all our chances

Cus with you I'd be everything
That desires nothing more
Than to send you off into that sunset
And smile to heaven as you soar

If that's the only trouble listening to Euphoria Morning, then that's no trouble at all.
He does get a bit florid and out there sometimes.
I think Tom Morello once called Chris' writing existential.
I laughed cause it takes me a couple of goes to get what he's on about and then still sometimes I'm left shaking my head.
    hear my name
    take a good look
    this could be the day
    hold my hand
    lie beside me
    i just need to say
