A Question to all writers and/or poets

Has anyone on here had their work published in a literary magazine or a literary journal? Has anyone had a novel or chap book published? Online also counts. I am just wondering because I am graduating from my university in August of 2004, and I understand how difficult it is to get published(Believe me, I have tried). Just curious as to who has been published, and if so, where and what was published?

Two years ago, iuniverse.com published "Rot" for me. I just checked out their website and they've raised their rates. It can now cost as much as $700 :eek: to get a book out. Cost $100-300 when I did it.

I just have a bunch of local mag rags under me belt and a few lit mags for schools and college and one compilation that is really more of a coffee table book never to be read. I've done more spoken word (which I don't think I'll get back into).

Unlike Radar up there I've never done anything serious but I have thought that now is the time though it would be cool to have people like everyone here in on it. I am hoping that we can all go in on a book together sometime.

Good luck to you and happy graduation, that is something I've never accomplished. Had to leave school. Tried going back and was successful for a semester but then I had to move all over half the midwest for awhile. That'll educate you in different ways but you can't get a diploma for it, unfortunately.

I write as a hobby, not seriously, so I never really tried to get anything published.

When I was in 1st grade, I wrote a story (paragraph, actually) about a piece of chalk that did math problems by itself. It got published in a book of student work my school district put out.

I also got a letter once from poetry.com that said I was being published in a book they were putting out. It was a poem I submitted to them back in the day before I realized how much they suck. So maybe I'm in that, too.
