We’re one of those riddles you can’t solve with Ritalin
Handed credit card distractions
When we’d ask to hold your hand

Burdens often future sunk
Dead weight until all grown up
Talk about how we never talk
Until we’ve said too much

Emotional investments in a cartoon parent world
Should we kill our babies
If we’re still boys and girls

Innocent
In a sense
Innocent…sins

Skip over the chapters that happy endings own
Leaving isn’t so bad
When you’ve been left alone

Tied up in traditions that we had to see
Parts the past passed on
Most never get to be

Expecting respect because of age and dna
Generosity
Washes most of us away

Speaking for the victims too weak to throw the blame
Thought it may be golden
Silence isn’t safe
if you're a pot smoker and you don't own a ukulele you're fuckin up...but then once you get a ukulele you might end up moving to a guitar because its a gateway instrument you know
