Just a song i wrote about love that never happened. Take a look, I highly recommend it

As I lie here with remorse.
I soon realize I’m only hurting myself.
Stars my witness I intend, to give up.
My love’s been broken,
on the account there was none.
Better to have loved than not, one says.
Well... what am I?
Loved or not?
Zero is the score,
yet I’m rich in lessons.
What can I do with love, unloved?

My deed is not done,
but starting is harder than ending.
The remorse I lie with grows…
It grows to an unhealthy outbreak.

Though words have not been spoken.
I hold back… waiting… waiting for the right word.
As childish as it seems,
another would have not a tougher time,
on the thought that they wouldn’t understand.
When words are such a precise note,
one chooses not to say,
but when I look over to you,
it must be said.

Then comes the haunt of the unloved love.
What could it have been?
Could it have been the first?
How will my unloved love feel when many have past?
Such is a cruel remorse I feel.
Such cruel remorse is deeper than the depths of hell.
Oh… I wish to be anywhere but here.
Sorry... i got nothing witty to say in the time allotted to me.

    I love the last verse.

    A truth.
I'm stepping in front of the gushing hydrant in a hurricane. I'd like to see the traction I keep.
