    Yes he did go to art school... In Missoula Montana I believe. But he dropped out of college and well, the rest is history :)

    Thank you for the article....it was very interesting.I wish I would keep playing and meeting people and do something before I hit 35......everywhere I turn all the musicians go to NYC or end up in LA.BUt I refuse.I want to be a contemorary legend!!!!!!!!!:)Wish me luck!Good Night!Thanks again soaks the pages:)

    Another bit of info, I think Jeff played college hoops for either U. of Montana or Montana State....

    He is my favorite too!

    Did any of the band members go to college?
    Jeff Ament went to University of Montana to study art (he also played basketball there) and dropped out before he could graduate. Mike also went to community college but not straight out of high school. As far as we know, Stone graduated from high school but never went to college. Eddie dropped out of high school but later received his GED and briefly went to community college in Chicago before returning to San Diego.
    One of these days I'm gonna get organizized.
