high school

a soft spot in my heart
for love triangles and hand jobs
she changed my life
in the back of a jeep cherokee
all velvet lips and teenage hips
how could you do those things
and still be so lily-white innocent?
looking for shooting stars
through that broken sun roof
drinking domestic beer that
your sister bought for us
dreaming up new ideals
with each run-on sentence
that was the fastest and longest
three months of my life
every revolution needs a martyr
and I guess I was yours
your daddy had it in for me
just like those other daddy's before
so back to mr. safe and simple
mr. banker's son with good teeth
and life half way won
all this come's back to me
in widescreen technicolor
with 'wild horses' playin loud
in the ever lurking background
sometimes i sit there late at night
with a bottle in one hand and
that old rotary phone in the other
to scared to dial
to scared to see if you feel the same way
95 was a good year
my love for you is ticking clock BERZERKER! would you like some making fuck BERZERKER?!

why will you take by force what you may have quietly by love? - Powhatan
