Half-real

Hang it up, and take it down.
The picture is real, and it means what it portrays.
But it's importance is realized only in the mind.
Perception widens and may shift focus.
Some pictures are put away, never to be looked at again.
And they are lost.

I won't forget the moment.
It will stay with me, but only with me.
Nothing was more important, nor should it have been.
So narrow was my focus that I was blind to your unrest.
You put it away, never to look back again.
The moment was real, but now half of it is gone.
