Solstice
I snap back from my daydreams
as you touch my leg
to emphasize your point.
You expectantly hang,
waiting for my response
as I cover for my absence.
I had drifted
a few moments ago,
wondering why I was here,
what was the point
when the sun shone so
through the stained glass,
speaking of spring
and new beginnings.
It doesnt hurt.... when I bleed
but memories...they eat me
I've seen it all before,...
bring it on cause I'm no victim.
